Flats or Low-Profile Sneakers
First of all, kudos to the women and flight attendants who can breeze through a terminal in a pair of heels. My feet would explode after I took more than five steps towards security. Instead, us regular people should wear a comfortable pair of flats or a sleek pair of sneakers.
Blazer or Cardigan
Winter has come on planes in full force and wether you are flying up front or in the back, you can expect your only defense to be a blanket that is as thick as a piece of toilet paper. So why not take your style and warmth into your own hands by wearing a blazer or cardigan over your shirt. This way, you have some stylish protection against the cold and can tell those white walkers where they can really go.
Scarf
Scarves are quite versatile because in addition to helping banish the cold, they can work as a pillow in a pinch. Scarves are particularly great on shorter flights where you won’t be issued a pillow. Not to mention it is an easy way to add a pop of color to your outfit and show your style savvy by selecting one of the hundreds of ways to wear your scarf.
Bonus: Good Attitude
Yes, yes, sometimes this is easier said than done. But a good attitude can get you into a great situation, even when the cards aren’t in your favor. For instance, delays, bumps and cancellations happen. Although the employees on the ground can’t always get you in the air, an understanding or kind attitude will make them go the extra mile for you. We’ve heard of many employees who go above and beyond to help a passenger that was kind to them so they did their best to get them on the last flight out or upgrade them when they did not have to do so.
They key to being a stylish traveler is not solely reliant on what you wear, but to combine form and function to keep you comfortable and looking good on and off the plane. Happy travels!
